Billy Troll

I have had music around me all my life. My dad plays guitar and lots of other instruments, my son plays electric guitar, my daughter plays the flute, my grandmother played the ukulele and my grandfather played the piano, organ and violin. I never picked up on these musical skills, however, I still love listening to music and I have dabbled a bit in song-writing. I think growing up around music was the inspiration for my Billy Troll character.

Billy Troll came to life on August 23, 1993 with the story, Billy Troll Likes to Rock on his Own. Over the years, the Billy Troll character has performed at many concerts, wrote many songs, fallen in love with his neighbour, Dianne Troll, who is a concert promoter, got married, had a baby and has performed several concerts with his rival rock band, The Jagged Trolls. I have written quite a few stories about Billy Troll and he was an inspiration for a series of stories based on the characters, Just Girlz.
