It is now autumn in the city and while it is beautiful here in the city, to really enjoy the autumn colours, city folks take a drive to the country regions of Ontario. AUTUMN IN THE MOUNTAINS written by Debbie Williamson This is Mountain Mike, the Canadian Brother from the beautiful province of British Columbia, Canada. It is now autumn in British Columbia and it is so beautiful here. The trees have started to turn colour and there is a thin layer of snow on the tops of the mountains. A lot of people think that British Columbia only comes alive in the winter time because of the ski season. Skiing is a big thing in BC however, so is fishing and hiking.  GRASSHOPPERS written by Debbie Williamson      Hi everyone! This is Prairie Pete from Saskatchewan. Remember me. I am one of the Canadian brothers. I am the one that owns a cattle ranch and wheat fields.      This past summer I noticed an infestation of grasshoppers. Even though I noticed a lot of them this year, it really could have been far worse. I heard from a friend of mine that the grasshoppers were heading for a bumper year this year because of the drought that we have had in the prairies over the past couple of years. However, many of the grasshopper eggs were killed by the torrential rains that we received in early May.      Grasshoppers can be a real problem on the prairies, especially in the wheat fields.
