A Cold Easter

A COLD EASTER written by Debbie Williamson The Easter Bunny poked his head out of his den. "Oh my!" he exclaimed, shivering. "It is freezing cold. I will have to put an extra layer of fur on." The Easter Bunny could not believe how cold it was outside. It felt like it was still the middle of winter. The Easter Bunny checked his calendar but the calendar showed him that tomorrow was indeed Easter. "Easter is Easter," said the Easter Bunny, gathering up all the chocolate eggs and gifts that he was to deliver to all the good little girls and boys around the world. "It doesn't matter what the weather is. If the calendar says it is Easter, then it is my duty to deliver these gifts. The Easter Bunny was all ready to go … Read entire article »

Baby, Sparky and Easter

BABY, SPARKY AND EASTER written by Debbie Williamson "What are you doing, Baby?" asked Sparky. "Are you waiting for Daddy to get up to feed you?" "Daddy's not going to work today," said Baby, lifting her head up from the chair she was sitting on. "Why not?" asked Sparky. ''Mommy is still here too," said Baby. "Something is wrong," said Sparky. "Daddy and Mommy never take time off work. Maybe they are both sick. Well I am sure Ricky and Jenny will get up soon. They have to go to school." "No they don't," said Baby. "Are they sick too?" asked Sparky. "Baby what is going on here?" Sparky was very upset. It just wasn't normal for everyone to still be in bed at six o'clock in the morning during the week. Something was wrong, she just knew it. "Sparky," … Read entire article »

Billy Troll and the Easter Bunny

BILLY TROLL AND THE EASTER BUNNY written by Debbie Williamson "Hurry up, Peter!" called Mrs. Cottontail. "You are going to be late delivering all of your Easter eggs." "Yes Mom," said Peter. "I know. I'm coming." "Well, what's taking you so long?" asked Mrs. Cottontail. "Usually you are up and out of here long before now." "I don't know what my problem is," said Peter. "These eggs seem to be awfully heavy this year." "I don't think that they are any heavier," said Mrs. Cottontail, picking one up. "I think there are just too many children now." "Yes," said Peter. "That is probably what the problem is. Maybe I'm just getting too old for this job." "Oh come on now Peter," said Mrs. Cottontail. "You are only as old as you feel." "That's true," said Peter. "Well, today I … Read entire article »

Easter Surprise

EASTER SURPRISE written by Debbie Williamson Billy Troll strummed his guitar, while sitting in the kitchen. He just happened to look up at the calendar.   "Oh no!" exclaimed Billy. "Easter is coming up soon. I have to work on my Easter song."   Billy went into his studio and went to get the sheet music that he used to write down the lyrics and music composition for his Easter song.  Billy looked everywhere for it but he could not find it anywhere. He was just about to ask his wife if she had seen it, when he noticed it was sitting on his desk.   "That is funny," said Billy. "I know I didn't leave it there. Oh well, maybe Dianne moved it when she was cleaning up."   Billy took the sheet music to the kitchen with him. … Read entire article »

Fawn’s Easter Egg Hunt

FAWN’S EASTER EGG HUNT   written by Debbie Williamson   It is Easter and Fawn loves Easter. He went on an Easter egg hunt and had lots of fun. “Fawn, what are you doing with all this chocolate?” asked Spot, seeing that her friend had a pile of chocolate Easter bunnies sitting on the table. “Isn’t it neat!” exclaimed Fawn, happily. “I found them all when I went on an Easter egg hunt.” “What are you talking about?” asked Spot, suspiciously. “I found them,” said Fawn. “Where?” asked Spot. “There must be at least seven of them here.” “Four,” said Fawn. “But, who’s counting?” “Fawn, what have you done this time?” asked Spot, angrily. “Why is it that you always assume I did something wrong?” asked Fawn. “Because, most of the time that is what happens,” said Spot. “Well, I was out in the … Read entire article »

Magical Easter Egg

MAGICAL EASTER EGG written by Debbie Williamson      A very long, long time ago, there lived an old man, who made chocolate Easter eggs. His name was Mr. Jones. He lived in a pretty castle in the hills of Europe.       Mr. Jones was preparing for the big Easter season that was fast approaching. He had many pots sitting on top of a roaring fire. Big chunks of chocolate were melting in the pots.      While Mr. Jones waited for the chocolate to melt, which took a very long time indeed, he was busy preparing the moulds. He had previously carved all of the moulds from wood.       Mr. Jones had to make sure that each mould was clean. Once the moulds were ready and the chocolate melted, Mr. Jones carefully ladled the hot mixture … Read entire article »

Story 300 – Visits the Easter Bunny

TRAVELLIN’ RICK VISITS THE EASTER BUNNY written by Debbie Williamson Well, it sure is nice to feel that warm spring air! It is so nice to see green grass and pretty flowers and to feel that warm sunshine once again. I want to share with you, my latest adventure. I hope that you will enjoy it. About a week ago, I was walking through my bush lot, in Mountain Grove Ontario. I came upon the most unusual sight. I saw a bunny rabbit. He was hopping through the bush singing “Hippity, Hoppity!”. I stopped dead in my tracks and thought to myself, “No! It can’t be! Then, I looked at my watch and sure enough the calendar confirmed my suspicions. I went up to this happy little bunny and I took a hold of one of … Read entire article »

Story 301 – Fawn and Spot’s Easter

FAWN AND SPOT’S EASTER written by Debbie Williamson “Hey Fawn!” Spot yelled from her stall.  “What are you doing?” Fawn and Spot were two cows that lived on the Hansen farm in Mountain Grove, Ontario.  Spot was a black and white coloured cow and Fawn was a tan coloured cow. Spot could see Fawn throwing his things around his stall. “I’m cleaning up,” said Fawn. “Cleaning up!” gasped Spot.  “What on earth for!” “Don’t you know what tomorrow is?” asked Fawn. “Yeah, it’s Sunday,” said Spot.  “What does that have to do with anything?” “It’s not just any Sunday,” exclaimed Fawn.  “Tomorrow is Easter Sunday.” “Oh, so you think that by being good for one whole day of the year, the Easter Bunny will leave you some chocolates and candy,” said Spot as she clued into what Fawn was … Read entire article »
