CYBERSPACE BOY
Hi everyone. My name is CyberSpace Boy. I don't
actually live anywhere because I live in cyberspace. Cyberspace is vast and yet
is nothing. It holds tons of information and yet it holds nothing. It has lots
of traffic but yet it is empty. It is fun and yet it is dangerous. I hope that I
can make your life in cyberspace a more enjoyable and fun experience.
My job in cyberspace is to go around to different websites and write reports on
them. This week my assignment is to go to my home website, which is
www.bedtymetales.com and let you know what it has to offer you.
Bed Tyme Tales contains hundreds of children's stories for you to read and
enjoy. These stories use characters as Fawn and Spot, Travellin' Rick, Billy
Troll, The Troll Family, Racum Raccoon and Chester Chipmunk. I am a new addition
to this website. Each month I will write a report about a fun website for
children and it will be posted on the Bed Tyme Tales website.
Bed Tyme Tales started about 13 years ago, when the first children's story,
written by Debbie Williamson was published in the EMC Record News, Smiths Falls,
Ontario. That first story was Old Jack and was published on October 25, 1992.
Since then, 133 of the stories that Debbie Williamson has written have been
published in that newspaper and the other two stories were published in Durham
Life Magazine in Oshawa, ON.
Debbie has told me that over the past 13 years she has written over 600 stories
to date. She said that she doesn't think that she will ever run out of story
ideas. She never seems to have a problem finding something to write about and
that is lucky for me because if she had have given up writing, well, I wouldn't
be here today! She just picks up her laptop and starts writing. Debbie says that
she uses her laptop for all of her story writing now. She says that it is
convenient and gets the job done just as well, if not better than a desktop
computer could.
I made good friends with Travellin' Rick while I was at Bed Tyme Tales.
Travellin' Rick and I have a lot in common because we both like to travel.
Travellin' Rick travels the real world while I travel the inivisible world of
cyberspace.
In my opinion, Bed Tyme Tales is a wonderful website for children of all ages.
There is a wide variety of stories and I'm sure that you will find one that is
just right for you. New stories are added to this site constantly!
