WEREWOLF

"What time is it?" asked Fawn.

"It is like midnight," said Spot. "Why?"

"Well," said Fawn. "At midnight is when the werewolves come out."

"Fawn that is just a wolf," said Spot. "He is not going to turn into a werewolf."

"Are you sure?" asked Fawn.

"Yes," said Spot. "I am sure. Look at that wolf. He looks so cool sitting up there."

"What do you think he is doing?" asked Fawn.

"He is howling," said Spot. "See the way he lifts up his head to the moon."

"How come I can't hear him howl?" asked Fawn.

"Probably because we need to be quiet," said Spot.

Both Fawn and Spot were silent for a few minutes and then they heard the wolf howl.

"Oh," said Spot. "I love that sound."

"Don't you find it kind of eerie," said Fawn.

"No," said Spot. "Not at all. I find it really peaceful."

Fawn and Spot stood and watched the wolf on top of the mountain ridge for almost an hour, totally enjoying it. They found it totally awesome.

"Gee," said Spot, once the wolf had left. "I didn't see a werewolf, did you?"
