Fawn’s Easter Egg Hunt

FAWN’S EASTER EGG HUNT

It is Easter and Fawn loves Easter. He went on an Easter egg hunt and had lots of fun.

“Fawn, what are you doing with all this chocolate?” asked Spot, seeing that her friend had a pile of chocolate Easter bunnies sitting on the table.

“Isn’t it neat!” exclaimed Fawn, happily. “I found them all when I went on an Easter egg hunt.”

“What are you talking about?” asked Spot, suspiciously.

“I found them,” said Fawn.

“Where?” asked Spot. “There must be at least seven of them here.”

“Four,” said Fawn. “But, who’s counting?”

“Fawn, what have you done this time?” asked Spot, angrily.

“Why is it that you always assume I did something wrong?” asked Fawn.

“Because, most of the time that is what happens,” said Spot.

“Well, I was out in the field early this morning ,” said Fawn. “I saw this bunny hopping all around the field. He was placing these chocolates all over the place. I followed him and picked up what I could carry.”

“Oh no, Fawn!” exclaimed Spot. “What have you done?”

“Nothing,” said Fawn, happily chewing on a chocolate bunny.

“You may think you’ve done nothing wrong,” said Spot. “But, you have just ruined Easter for the Hansen children.”

“Oh Spot,” said Fawn. “Don’t be ridiculous. That bunny out there in the field saw me picking up these bunnies. Besides, there are lots and lots of them still out in the field. These ones are mine!”

Just then Jenny and Ricky Hansen came into the barn.

“Hey look,” said Jenny, seeing Fawn’s pile of Easter goodies on the table. “Fawn has already found his.”

“I got a whole bunch,” said Ricky, proudly.

“You mean you two kids got yours, too,” said Spot.

“Yes,” said Ricky. “We got lots of chocolate this year.”

“Spot thinks I took yours,” said Fawn.

“I’m sorry Fawn,” said Spot.

“You’d better be,” said Fawn, laughing. “Now, I’m going to eat another one!”
