The first thing that comes to mind when thinking about the colour black is that black is the colour of darkness. Many people fear darkness so the colour black is also associated with fear.

There are many things in life that are black in colour that are not associated with darkness or fear. Black is the colour of some people's clothing. Black is the colour of the tires on all of our vehicles. Black is the colour of some kinds of candy, like licorice.

I am probably like most people when it comes to the colour black. I do fear it when it is associated with darkness and yet I actually like black clothing. I have a pair of black jeans, a few black tshirts and even a black hoodie.

The colour black is a colour that we can take or leave, fear or not, or love or dislike.
