Story 663 – Environment Bug and Illness

ENVIRONMENT BUG AND ILLNESS

“Achoo!” a child said, sneezing.

“You should always make sure that you cover your mouth when you sneeze,” said Environment Bug. “You can spread your germs to others.”

“Oh,” said the child. “I don’t want to do that.”

“That is a good girl,” said the Environment Bug. “What all the flu’s and diseases around the world these days, it is good to try your hardest not to spread them. So, what is your name little girl?”

“My name is Amy,” said the little girl. “And I know who you are. You are the Environment Bug. We learned about you at school.”

“That is right Amy,” said the Environment Bug. “That is who I am.”

Amy sneezed once more and this time she remembered to cover mouth.

“Good girl,” said the Environment Bug.

“See I remembered,” said Amy.

Amy saw an older woman walking through the park. The women was coughing and sneezing. However, she remembered to cover her mouth.

“Good,” said the Environment Bug. “No germs were spread there.”

“Yes,” said Amy. “But look at the little boy that is walking behind her. He is coughing and not covering his mouth.”

Environment Bug went over to the little boy and explained to him about the importance of covering his mouth when he coughs.

“I don’t know you,” said the boy. “I don’t have to listen to you.”

“Josh,” said Amy. “You know me right?”

Josh knew Amy alright. In fact, he had a crush on Amy.

“Hi Amy,” said Josh, coughing again, only this time covering his mouth.

“Thank goodness for crushes,” said the Environment Bug.
