Story 843 – Arrow’s Adventure Under the Tub

ARROW’S ADVENTURE UNDER THE TUB

“Meow!” Sam could hear. “Meow!”

“Arrow!” said Sam, getting up to go look for Arrow. “Where are  you?”

“What is going on with Arrow?” asked Mommy, who was in the middle of drying the supper dishes.

“Arrow is meowing,” said Sam. “But I don’t know where he is.”

Mommy heard a faint meow and she had a feeling she knew where Arrow was because this has happened before. She went into the bathroom and sure enough there was Arrow with his cute little head just sticking up from under the tub.

“Arrow!” exclaimed Mommy. “What are you doing in there again?”

This isn’t the first time Arrow has been found under the tub. For some reason he keeps going back underneath there and  then he finds out he just can’t get out by himself. The upstairs bath tub in the house where Mommy and Arrow lives is still under construction and that is why he is able to get underneath the tub.

Mommy tried reaching down and tried to pull him out but for one thing, her arm was very sore and another, there were just too many obstacles in the way. Mommy knew somehow that she could get Arrow out of there because her roommate Susan had gotten him out the last few times he has gotten himself in there.

Mommy turned around and took a look at the bottom end of the tub. There weren’t any taps or water lines to deal with so she felt it might be easier to get him out from there.

“Can you try to reach him?” Mommy asked Sam, because in order to get Arrow out, Mommy was going to have to use her sore arm and the pain was just too much.

Sam reached in and within seconds, Arrow was safe and sound in Mommy’s arms.

“Say thank you to Sam,” Mommy said to Arrow.

Arrow looked over at Sam with his big bright eyes. Mommy was sure that was his way of saying thank you.

“Just don’t do that again,” said Sam, shaking her head at Arrow.

“Just another adventure with this little guy,” said Mommy, still holding Arrow in her arms.
