NEW YEARS DAY

"Hey Fawn," said Spot. "What are you doing?"

"I am going to eat a chocolate bar," said Fawn.

"But I thought you weren't going to eat anymore chocolate," said Spot. "I thought that was your New Year's resolution."

"I have one more day left," said Fawn.

"Sorry," said Spot. "But today is January 1st, New Years Day."

"But today is also a holiday," said Fawn.

"A New Year's resolution starts  January 1st," said Spot. "That is why it is called a New Year's resolution."

"I see," said Fawn, putting his chocolate bar away.

Fawn went out into the living room where Spot was watching television.

"I thought you were going to stop watching television so much this year," said Fawn.

"I just wanted to watch this one show," said Spot.

"Okay, you watch that one show and then I will eat this one last chocolate bar," said Fawn.

"Okay," said Spot. "You have a deal."
