ARROW MAKES MOMMY CRY

  Mommy came home from work the other day. It was a long day and she was so glad to be home.

"Awe," said Mommy, when she saw Arrow sitting right beside the front door.

She bent over to gave Arrow a pat on his head. She thought she heard him purring. Arrow didn't purr very often but when he did, he purred like crazy.

Once Mommy put her lunch bag and keys on the table, she picked Arrow up and gave him the biggest hug. She was right. Arrow was purring like crazy.

"I sure am going to miss you," said Mommy, tears running down her cheeks, into Arrow's soft fur.

Mommy was going away for two weeks. She had never left Arrow alone for more than two nights at a time. It was going to be one of the toughest things she has had to do.

Mommy has had Arrow since he was six weeks old. He is now 2 1/2 years old. Arrow has seen some of the very darkest times of Mommy's life and also some of the very happiest times.

Mommy set Arrow on the floor and he ran into the bedroom as fast as he could go. Mommy followed Arrow, wiping the tears away as she walked. By the time she got to the bedroom, Arrow was right where Mommy thought he would be.

Every night when Mommy came home from work, Arrow would jump up onto the bed and wait for Mommy to cuddle with him and play with him and pet him.

"It is no wonder I love you so much," cried Mommy, holding Arrow tightly.
