Barney the Frog

BARNEY THE FROG written by Debbie Williamson Barney, a frog, lived deep in a secluded forest. He and everyone else in the forest were very miserable because it had been raining steadily there for the past few months. Barney sat on top of a hollowed out log that was floating in the nearby stream. "Croak, croak," said Barney to himself, as drop after drop of cold rain fell on him. "Oh, there is no sense croaking anymore. The rain is never going to stop and the sun is never going to shine again." Barney hopped down from his log. "I'm going home!" Barney declared. "It is too damp and miserable for me." While hopping through the rain-soaked forest Barney met up with one of his friends, Frank Rabbit. "How are you today?" asked Frank. I'm cold and miserable," … Read entire article »

Billy’s Surprise Beach Concert

BILLY'S SURPRISE BEACH CONCERT written by Debbie Williamson "Billy, did you hear about the concert tonight?" asked Diane, as she was preparing dinner. "It is supposed to be fantastic!" "A concert tonight!" Billy exclaimed, with a sheepish look on his face. "No, I haven't heard any such thing. Where is it?" "It's down at the beach," said Diane. "It starts around 7 p.m." "Gee Diane," said Billy. "That sounds like fun. Do you want to go?" "I'd love to go, but don't you feel left out," said Diane. "Left out!" exclaimed Billy. "Why would I feel left out?" "They didn't include you in the concert," said Diane. "Are you not upset?" "No, I'm not upset," said Billy, smiling. "Besides, I have tickets for tonight. I can't sing and watch the concert at the same time, can I?" "I guess not," … Read entire article »

Summer Festival

SUMMER FESTIVAL written by Debbie Williamson "Billy, Billy!" screamed Dianne Troll, excitedly, waving the latest edition of the Troll Town newspaper in her arms. ''Come here, you've got to see this!" "If you are talking about the Troll Town Summer Festival," said Billy Troll. "I already know about and I'm busy that weekend." "So, you are going to miss out on the biggest event happening in Troll Town in years!" exclaimed Dianne. "What could be so important that would make you miss this." "Just my wedding day," said Billy. "What are you talking about?" asked Dianne. "I'd like July 14 to be our wedding day," said Billy, happily. "Billy, that doesn't give us much time," said Dianne. "A little over two months," said Billy. "Billy, I just had a wonderful idea," said Dianne. "Why don't we have our wedding at … Read entire article »

Billy Troll’s Good Deed

BILLY TROLL'S GOOD DEED written by Debbie Williamson “Billy!” exclaimed Dianne Troll. “It sure is nice to see you again.” “You too, Dianne,” said Billy, happily. “It’s been awhile.” Billy Troll is a country singer and had been away on tour for the last three months. “How was the tour?” asked Dianne. “It was the best concert tour yet,” said Billy. “That’s great,” said Dianne. “I am so happy for you.” “Listen, Dianne,” said Billy. “How about going out for dinner tonight? I’m starved and there is absolutely no food at my place.” “Great,” said Dianne. “There is a new restaurant in town. Do you want to go there?” “Trolltown has a new restaurant,” laughed Billy. “I must have been away for a long, long time.” “Three months is a long, long time,” said Dianne. “Now, Dianne Troll,” said Billy. “It sounds … Read entire article »

Billy Troll’s Winter Concert

BILLY TROLL'S WINTER CONCERT written by Debbie Williamson “It is cold outside today,” said Billy Troll, rubbing his hands together to keep them warm. “You should have worn your gloves,” said Dianne Troll, taking Billy’s cold hands in her gloved ones. “I know,” said Billy. “I just didn’t think it was going to be this cold!” “We’ll be at the practice hall soon,” said Dianne. Billy was relieved when he saw the practice hall out of the corner of his eye. He was so looking forward to practising the his upcoming winter concert. “Come on Dianne,” said Billy. “I’ll race you.” The two Troll friends raced to the front door of the hall. “Come on slow-poke,” said Billy, waiting at the front door. “I’m freezing.” Once inside the hall, Billy soon warmed up by singing and playing on his guitar. “Oh no!” … Read entire article »
