Santa Got Stuck in the Chimney

SANTA GOT STUCK IN THE CHIMNEY written by Debbie Williamson It was Christmas Eve. The children had hung their stockings by the fireplace and were all snug in their beds. Sometime during the night, they were visited by a big, jolly, old man dressed in red. You got it, it was Santa Claus! Santa and his bright red toy bag came down the chimney. This was his last stop of the night. First, he filled each stocking with special treats. Then, for each child, he left some gifts. "A new bike for Suzie," said Santa, pulling a beautiful pink bicycle out of his bag. "And, a train set for Billy." By the time Santa was finished his work, he was a little hungry. He spotted a glass of milk and a plate of goodies, sitting on … Read entire article »

Christmas Holiday

CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY written by Debbie Williamson      "Hey Fawn," said Spot, cleaning up the kitchen. "What are you doing?"      "I don't know," said Fawn. "I'm kind of depressed."      "How could you be depressed?" asked Spot. "You just had a wonderful Christmas holiday. You got to see Grampy again, too."      "Yes," said Fawn. "That is why I'm depressed."      "Fawn," said Spot. "Sometimes I never understand you."      "Well," said Fawn. "It was great visiting with Grampy and the whole Christmas thing was wonderful too but now Grampy is gone home and Christmas is now over with already."      "Okay," said Spot. "I take that back what I just said because what you just said makes perfect sense. We all worked so hard all year long preparing for Christmas and then it is over sooner than … Read entire article »

Christmas Eve

CHRISTMAS EVE written by Debbie Williamson      Fawn and Spot were sitting around their living room in the barn on Christmas Eve. They were having a cup of hot chocolate and admiring their Christmas tree when they heard a knock at the door.      "Presents!" exclaimed Fawn, as he opened the door and saw Mr. and Mrs. Hansen, Ricky, Jenny and Suzie, all arms loaded with gifts.      "Yes," said Mrs. Hansen. "These are presents but you are not allowed to open them until tomorrow morning."      "Oh why not?" exclaimed Fawn. "I want to open them now."      "Christmas is not until tomorrow morning," said Jenny Hansen. "You can't open your presents until then."      "Yeah Fawn," said Ricky Hansen. "I can't open mine until then so you can't open yours until then."      "This is no … Read entire article »

Who Stole the Christmas Cookies?

WHO STOLE THE CHRISTMAS COOKIES? written by Debbie Williamson        My brother Joey and I had just finished hanging our stockings by the fireplace one Christmas Eve, when the most disturbing thought crossed my mind.      "Joey!" I shrieked.      "Did you know that we forgot something?"      "No we didn't," said Joey crossly. "We've got both our stockings hung up. What could we possibly have forgotten?"      "We forgot the cookies," I explained to my seven year old brother, who happened to be older than me and who also happened to be more selfish than me.      "Cookies!" Joey laughed. "Why would you want to have cookies just before you go to bed?"       "They aren't for me silly," I declared. "They're for Santa Claus."      "Oh my!" Joey suddenly clued in. "Mom! Mom! We forgot to leave … Read entire article »
