Story 812 – Silly Fred Forgets March Break

SILLY FRED FORGETS MARCH BREAK written by Debbie Williamson “Silly Fred,” said Sarah, one night after doing the dishes. “March Break is coming up. We should go on a vacation this year.” “Yes,” said Silly Fred. “That would be really nice. You have the week off from teaching and my boss was just asking me the other day if I wanted to take some of my holidays.” “This will be perfect then,” said Sarah. “We haven’t gone on a vacation in years.” “Yes,” said Silly Fred. “I think this will be great. It wasn't just a small splash, but a large splash and the hair on the back of my neck stood up. I knew what made the splash and I was very excited about it. Old Griz was back. He had survived the winter and was ready for another … Read entire article »

The Cabin

THE CABIN written by Debbie Williamson Just off Highway 93 in British Columbia was a little cabin. It was an adorable little cabin made of logs. The cabin sat in the middle of a forest and it was very lonely. “All I ever wanted was a friend,” cried the cabin each and every morning as it watched the sun rise to the west of it. “It is so lonely out here all by myself.” One morning a chipmunk found itself on the porch of the cabin. “Gee,” said the cabin. “It is so nice to finally have a friend.” “What are you talking about?” asked the chipmunk. “I just dropped a pine cone out of the tree above you and it fell onto your porch.” “Oh,” said the cabin sadly. “I thought you were here to be … Read entire article »
