RAINY DAYS written by Debbie Williamson Slow-Poke was out walking with his mother, Mrs. Duck, one hot summer day. He wished so much that it would rain because he wanted to play in puddles and splash around. FEAR OF NO RAIN written by Debbie Williamson Living in a desert definitely has its challenges. The Desert Kid knows the challenges and lives with them each and everyday of his life. The Desert Kid was born and raised in the desert. Most of the challenges the Desert Kid faces is nature related. For instance, he lives with constant temperatures in the high 30`s and 40`s. This may seem cold to some but you have to realize that those temperatures are Celsius, not Fahrenheit. The reason for this is because the Desert Kid lives in Canada’s only desert, the Okanagan Valley in the province of British Columbia.
