 GRASSHOPPERS written by Debbie Williamson      Hi everyone! This is Prairie Pete from Saskatchewan. Remember me. I am one of the Canadian brothers. I am the one that owns a cattle ranch and wheat fields.      This past summer I noticed an infestation of grasshoppers. Even though I noticed a lot of them this year, it really could have been far worse. I heard from a friend of mine that the grasshoppers were heading for a bumper year this year because of the drought that we have had in the prairies over the past couple of years. NOVEMBER IN THE PRAIRIES written by Debbie Williamson Hi everyone! This is Prairie Pete. I am one of the Canadian Brothers. I live in a small prairie town in Saskatchewan. It is now November in the prairies and boy that wind sure can blow cold on the open prairies. You have to dress nice and warm and always be prepared for the weather here. We get mostly cold, windy days in November with temperatures ranging from around plus 5 to minus 20 degrees Celsius. I live on a ranch and just because it is cold and windy though, work does not stop on the prairies. There is always so much to do. Firewood has to be brought in and split. AUTUMN IN THE PRAIRIES written by Debbie Williamson Hi this is Prairie Pete. I'm the Canadian Brother that lives in the prairie province of Saskatchewan, Canada. Sorry, I don't have much time to chat with you right now. Autumn in the prairies is a very busy time of the year. Summer in the Prairies

SUMMER IN THE PRAIRIES written by Debbie Williamson Hi there! This is Prairie Pete. I live in the middle of the prairies, in the province of Saskatchewan. Summer in the prairies is a very special time of the year and the main reason for that is the beautiful sunsets we get. I don't think any other province in the whole country would see a sunset as beautiful as we see them here in Saskatchewan. When the sun sets in Saskatchewan, it is like the sun meeting the land. It is Freezing Cold

IT IS FREEZING COLD written by Debbie Williamson This is Prairie Pete. I live in Saskatchewan, Canada. I am the youngest of the Canadian Brothers. I live in the prairies and it is winter time here, even though it is only the first day of December. As far as I am concerned, winter starts the very day my thermometer says it does and that is when it is freezing cold here. This morning, I looked at my thermometer and it read -17 Celsius. Now, for you folks that don't know anything about Celsius, that reads about 1 degrees Fahrenheit. Now, that isn't really too cold, however, on the prairies, when we have a high wind, anything that reads below zero Celsius and it is freezing cold.
