Fawn and Spot at the Virtual Zoo

FAWN AND SPOT AT THE VIRTUAL ZOO written by Debbie Williamson "Fawn, why are you getting all dressed up?" asked Spot, standing in her stall. "Is this Christmas, or something?" "Christmas!" exclaimed Fawn. "I highly doubt it. Christmas is months away, yet." "Well then, if it's not Christmas, then why are you dressed up?" asked Spot. "I'm going to the zoo," said Fawn. "To the zoo!" exclaimed Spot. "What are you going to do at the zoo?" "I'm going to walk around and see all the different types of animals that are there," said Fawn. "Do you know that there are giraffes at the zoo?" "Giraffes!" exclaimed Spot. "What is a giraffe?" "A giraffe has a very long neck," said Fawn. "They are from Africa." Story 673 – President Obama

PRESIDENT OBAMA written by Debbie Williamson “What is all the fuss?” asked Fawn, when he walked into the barn and saw Spot in the living room of the barn with her eyes glued to the television. “Today is President-elect Barack Obama’s inauguration,” said Spot, moving over for Fawn so he could sit down. “It’s okay,” said Fawn. “I don’t want to sit down. I’m not going to watch it.” Fawn didn’t know too much about politics. He never watched the news. It was just something he was not interested in. He had never been to the United States. The only thing he did know was that the United States was our neighbour and he knew this from stories that Mrs. Hansen had told him of the visits she had to the states as a child. “This … Read entire article »

"Oh today is the day that Sam is coming!” exclaimed Fawn happily. "That’s right,” said Spot. “It is going to be so much fun having him here.” “Yes,” said Fawn, taking the sponge from Spot. “I’ll clean my own stall.” Fawn and Spot spent the rest of the morning cleaning their stalls in preparation for their guest. “Look!” exclaimed Fawn. “Sam’s here!” … Read entire article »

All of a sudden, Fawn saw an orange glow from the field behind him. “Spot,” said Fawn. “Did you see that glow?” “What glow?” asked Spot, getting up to look at the place Fawn was pointing at. “That glow,” said Fawn, seeing it again and pointing toward it so Spot could see it. “That is strange,” said Spot. Fawn and Spot decided they would go see what was flashing. When they got to the general area that they thought the flash was coming from, the flashing stopped. “Very strange,” said Fawn. Fawn saw a street just up ahead. “Let’s go down that street,” said Fawn, pointing down the street. Spot took a look down the street Fawn was pointing at. The street was dark and gloomy looking. Spot couldn’t see any trick-or-treaters down the street. “I don’t think so,” said Spot. “It doesn’t look safe.” Spot turned around to see Fawn only to find out he wasn’t beside her any longer. Spot looked up the dreary street and saw Fawn walking half-way up it. “Fawn,” called Spot. “Come back.” It was too late. Fawn could not hear Spot. It was a thumping sound and it was getting louder by the minute. “There, did you hear that?” asked Fawn. “Hear what?” asked Spot. “Fawn, I think that you have had too much excitement, trick-or-treating tonight. FAWN’S HAPPY HALLOWEEN SURPRISE written by Debbie Williamson “What are you doing?” asked Spot, watching Fawn try to hang something on the wall of the living room. “I’m decorating for the Halloween party,” said Fawn. “What Halloween party?” asked Spot, in horror. Spot and Jenny had been planning a surprise Halloween party for Fawn for months. Now it looked like Fawn had found out about it. Spot shot a glance over to Jenny. “I didn’t tell him,” Jenny whispered back. EASTER LOVE written by Debbie Williamson “Fawn,” said Spot. “Come here, please.”   Fawn didn’t like the sound of Spot’s voice. The veterinarian showed up very quickly because he just happened to be in the neighborhood. Within an hour the veterinarian was finished examining Spot.   “Spot is a very sick cow,” said the veterinarian. “I am afraid that she is going to need plenty of bed rest.”   “What about Easter?” asked Fawn, knowing that this was Easter weekend. “Who is going to get things prepared?”   “It won’t be … Read entire article »

Sunshine

SUNSHINE written by Debbie Williamson Fawn and Spot were in their barn one cold, damp autumn day.   "I am so cold,'' said Fawn, shivering. ''That is what we need.''   A few minutes later Fawn and Spot could hear laughter coming from outside. They both looked out the barn window and could see Ricky and Jenny Hansen playing. Then Fawn noticed something in the sky. It was a bright sunshine.   "Look,'' said Fawn, pointing out the window. ''The sun is out!''   Fawn ran for the barn door as quickly as he could go.
