Hate

HATE written by Debbie Williamson ''Troll Mommy,'' said Troll Sister, one night after dinner. ''Why is there so much hate in the world?'' ''Oh Troll Sister!'' exclaimed Troll Mother, drying off her hands on the tea towel and coming to sit down beside Troll Sister at the table. "That is a very tough question.'' ''We were talking about the attacks on the World Trade Centre in school today,'' said Troll Sister. ''I just figure that for someone to do something so awful as that they must have a lot of hate in them.'' ''Yes,'' said Troll Mother. ''They must! That was a deplorable act of violence. Hate is a terrible vicious thing. I think people have so many differences in opinions and in some extreme cases that is what causes the amount of hatred that … Read entire article »

Story 632 – School Supplies

SCHOOL SUPPLIES written by Debbie Williamson Troll Family returned home from their summer vacation a little later than they expected. The traffic was horrible on the ride home. There was an accident on the highway and held traffic to a snail’s pace. “Come on troll children,” said Troll Mother, getting them off to bed. “You’ve got school tomorrow morning.” “Oh no!” exclaimed Troll Sister. “We didn’t get any school clothes or school supplies. How can we go to school?” “Don’t worry,” said Troll Mother. “I was able to get you some school supplies. See your new backpack sitting in the corner of your bedroom. There is a new outfit hanging in your closet.” Troll Sister never noticed the backpack until just that minute. “How did you get that?” asked Troll Sister. “I thought you said you didn’t … Read entire article »

Autumn

AUTUMN written by Debbie Williamson “Dress warm!” exclaimed Troll Mother. “I am,” said Troll Brother. Troll Mother looked at the thin jacket Troll Brother had on and shook her head. “I have a sweater on underneath this jacket,” said Troll Brother, lifting up the bottom of his jacket to reveal a big thick sweater. “Good boy,” said Troll Mother, smiling. Troll Brother went outside to play and in about half an hour he came back inside. “That was quick,” said Troll Mother, setting a big mug of hot chocolate on the table. “Is that for me?” asked Troll Brother with a big grin on his face. “Yes dear,” said Troll Mother. “Oh good,” said Troll Brother. “I sure need this to warm me up. Autumn Safety

AUTUMN SAFETY written by Debbie Williamson Autumn Safety – Safety Kid pulled a rake out of a pile of leaves just in time.   Hi everyone. My name is Safety Kid. I am a brand new character on the Bed Tyme Tales website. My goal is to keep everyone on the website safe. Recently I visited with my friends, The Troll Family. They moved from Ontario, Canada to British Columbia, Canada about a year ago. The Troll Family love living in British Columbia and they especially love the autumn season. It is much warmer in the part of BC that they live in than what it was in Ontario and because of the warm autumn weather, the Troll Family like to spend a lot of time outdoors. Troll Daddy had just finished raking up a big … Read entire article »

MAY FLOWERS written by Debbie Williamson “Pretty flowers grow everywhere,” said Troll Mother, sadly, one afternoon. “Everywhere except for my garden.” “But I don’t understand it,” said Troll Daddy. “Last year you had the best flowers in all of Troll  Town. There must be something in that soil that you used this year. Let me take a look and see.” Troll Daddy went over to Troll Mother’s garden and took a good look at the soil. He picked up a clump of soil in his hands. He took a good look at it and squeezed it between his fingers. He threw the clump of soil back down into the garden and was about to head back into the kitchen but he smelled something very familiar.
