Why don’t you join me? I’ve got a few more things to do, so grab your suitcase and meet me on my front porch.” Travellin’ Rick set his suitcase down by the front door and picked up the telephone. “This is Travellin’ Rick, calling,” said Travellin’ Rick into the receiver. “I need a taxi to come and pick me up and take me to the airport.” Once he finished the telephone call, Travellin’ Rick locked all the windows and doors. HILLBILLY BOB’S SUMMER VACATION written by Debbie Williamson “What are you up to this summer?” asked Hillbilly Bob’s best-friend, Pete. “Well not too much yet,” said Hillbilly Bob. “What do you mean?” asked Pete. “I’m planning on doing some traveling,” said Hillbilly Bob. “All by yourself?” asked Pete. “That seems a little dangerous.” “Maybe,” said Hillbilly Bob. “But I got nobody else to go with.” “I’ll go with you,” said Pete. “I got two weeks vacation coming to me from the gas station.” “Hey,” said Hillbilly Bob. “Okay, that sounds like fun.” A few days later, Hillbilly Bob and Pete hopped in Hillbilly Bob’s pickup truck and away they drove, Hillbilly Bob’s mother, crying at the doorway and Hillbilly Bob’s father, telling his mother to stop crying and that their little boy is old enough to go on vacation. Hillbilly Bob … Read entire article »

I sure hope you all had a good summer vacation and are looking forward to getting back to school. This summer I had a wonderful vacation. I went to British Columbia. British Columbia is the most western province in Canada. See Photograph #1, which shows a picture of the BC border. I arrived at the BC border on a beautiful morning of July 13, 2004. The Troll Family’s Vacation

THE TROLL FAMILY'S VACATION written by Debbie Williamson “Troll Mother!” exclaimed Troll Sister, who was sitting in the hallway taking her winter boots off. “I’m so cold! When is spring going to be here?” Troll Sister and Troll Brother had just come home from school. It was a blistering cold day. “Sooner than you think, my Troll Dears, sooner than you think,” said Troll Mother, tucking a magazine behind her back, and smiling from ear to ear. “What do you have there?” asked Troll Brother, being one not to miss anything. “None of your business,” said Troll Mother. “It’s a surprise!” “Oh, that figures,” said Troll Brother. “Why are we always the last to know about surprises around here?” “Because,” said Troll Mother. “When you do find out about this surprise, you will be so happy!” “Happy isn’t the … Read entire article »

Story 786 – Hospital Stay

HOSPITAL STAY written by Debbie Williamson “Troll Mother, come quick,” said Troll Daddy. “Troll Grandmother has fallen.” Troll Grandmother had come to babysit the Troll children, while Troll Mother and Troll Daddy go on a well-deserved vacation. She was going upstairs to see the Troll children, when she slipped on the bottom stair. “Oh dear,” said Troll Mother, wiping her wet, soapy hands on a dish cloth. Troll Mother raced into the living room to find Troll Grandmother lying on the floor, unconscious. Troll Mother quickly bent down and checked Troll Grandmother’s pulse. “Her pulse is very weak,” said Troll Mother. “We need to call 911.” Troll Daddy reached behind him to grab the phone and while doing so, pulled a muscle in his back. “You will have to do it,” cried Troll Daddy in pain. “I’ve … Read entire article »
